Certification Opportunities at PDI
Note:  Pre-conference courses can be attended without full conference registration

All of the CDFM pre-PDI mini-courses offered on Monday and Tuesday are aligned to the DoD FM Certification Program competencies and associated proficiency levels.  By completing these courses you will gain additional knowledge, earn CPE credits, and fulfill hours toward your DoD FM Certification requirements.

Pre-Conference CDFM Training Mini-Courses
Intense coverage of Modules 1, 2, and 3 of the Enhanced Defense Financial Management Training Course (EDFMTC) will be held on Monday and Tuesday, May 26 & 27. Each 1-day mini-course will have two highly qualified instructors with extensive experience teaching the 5-day EDFMTC. These two-day events are intended for those who: (1) are enrolled in the CDFM Program, (2) have completed a significant amount of exam preparation, and (3) wish to “top off” their knowledge prior to taking the exam at the PDI.  On Monday you’ll choose between Module 1 and Module 3 and on Tuesday between Module 2 and Module 3. One or two modules may be chosen.  You will be in control when it comes to deciding which modules to attend. Separate registration for these pre-conference events is required and will cost an additional fee of $250 per module.  You must have a copy of the October 2011 textbook to participate. Textbooks can be purchased beforehand and brought to the PDI (recommended), or can be purchased at the PDI.

Pre-Conference CDFM-A Training Mini-Course
The Module 4 Acquisition Business Management 2-day course will be offered on Monday and Tuesday, May 26 & 27.  The course covers major weapons systems acquisition from the Program Manager’s perspective and is taught by a highly experienced instructor.  This two-day event is intended for individuals interested in learning more about the Acquisition Process, who are enrolled in the CDFM Program (whether they already hold the certification or not) and have elected to pursue the designation CDFM-A (CDFM with Acquisition Specialty).  Separate registration for this pre-conference event is required and will cost $475.

CDFM Testing
May 27 –  May 30
All CDFM examinations at the PDI will be delivered via computer and special authorization and purchase procedures apply. All individuals wishing to complete an exam ($95 each) must be pre-enrolled in the CDFM Program and have their candidate ID. These are “Special Arrangement” exams – not Pearson VUE exams - and will require special pre-authorization by the CDFM staff.

Exams will be offered at 8 AM, 10 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM each day (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). Testing is not available at 3 PM on Friday. Space may be limited, so please sign up early. (We encourage you to test on Tuesday or Wednesday, if possible, as past experience shows that Thursday and Friday exam slots are usually 100% subscribed and not available for “last minute” scheduling.)

Do not attempt to purchase your CDFM exams now.  Instructions will be emailed approximately 2 weeks prior to the PDI to all who have registered for a seat.

Recognition
Your PDI registration will reflect your status as a CDFM and/or CDFM-A. Those individuals who achieve certification status after the date the conference badges are printed will need to check in with the CDFM staff at the PDI. CDFM and CDFM-A ribbons for your conference badge will be available beginning Wednesday morning at the CDFM/ASMC booth.
